i have both the rear hatch one and the sliding door one if you get stuck for measurments. Both are available from gunzl classic vw bus parts in germany.

We too were hoping to make are own last summer & never got around to it. Have the material already picked up in Bangladesh when I was working there, cost me pennies. There is a good german ebay shop, still very pricey with loads of photos to give you example of fittings etc.

I used to bother with screens on my old type 2 van. It had them for most of the windows and including the rear door. However, my type 25 has no screens at all and I feel liberated. I leave all windows and the flap on my pop top canvas open and the nasties fly straight through and out another exit. In the evening as it gets dark I close things down except the roof opening and my van remains bug free. Result.
Mind you to be fair, I have never camped in the mossie infested bits of Scotland.
