how do they act when you lift and lower them ?.. i dunno how the dampers should be.mine is quite heavey to elevate and will lower itself fairly fast(not break neck speed mind),is this how they are or not?

theyre slow but they should use "pooh" loads of effort i have 4 new gas shocks here id sell cheap if yours are shot mate

well mines not the easiest to put up to be honest infact it weighs a bloody ton but the first push is a little hard then the new gas dampers help and up she goes

and a slow but steady decline ?
i can easily put mine up but if i let go it will drop fairly fast ..bit worrying if gail has a go on her own.
thanks for the offer of the struts praps thats the way to go.might have to wait a week or so if you still have them coz im skint
