I've just been testing out the fridge on my newly purchased '85 Autosleeper - off on the inaugral trip to Cambridge this weekend
Just a couple of questions (sorry if they are dumb, I know nothing!)
I presume the lesisure battery is charged from the alternator so ok to have the fridge on 12v while traveling without running the leisure battery down?
Also presume it's not advisable (or dangerous?!) to run the fridge on gas while driving?
I haven't used a 240v hook up before. Do cararavan parks supply the lead or do I need to buy one?
How long will a fridge run on a leiure battery? I guess it must take up a lot of power?
thanks
Mark

You need to buy a hook up lead which are available fom most caravan spares shops or tow sure... get the longest you can afford (over 20M)
Your fridge will not run on the battery. The engine has to be running.
I've used mine on gas whilst driving, by accident. there are safety cut outs if you forget and the flame blows out.
I presume you have all the instuctions?

I've used mine on gas while driving loads of times - not once has it blown out. The Westy manual says its ok, as I remember.
