The van is a 2.0l aircold with twin Dell 36's , have been using one of those wee breather filters staright onto where the crankcase breather pipe is ,
All has been running OK'ish but thinking that the crankcase pressure needs to be put into the air filter intakes, to get rid of the problem of warm air in the top of the engine bay and get the pressures balanced through the engine ?
Any thoughts ?? what are the recommended Crank case breather pipe arrangements ??
Cheers
Mike

Re: Breather Hoses
I put one of these on a couple of months back
.

Mounted mine at the back of the engine bay, some mount it on the front, don't think it makes much difference, I just prefer it not going over the linkage. One pipe to the crankcase and one each to the rocker covers.

Re: Breather Hoses
Thanks
That looks the sensible approach, I know on my 85 Polo there is a breather and filter that seems to be important to keep clean, hopefully will reduce a couple of oil leaks as well
Will order for the weekend

Re: Breather Hoses
Have just got the breather box delivered, waiting for the rain to stop to get under the van, but been thinking on the connections, easy enough where the crank case breather goes, but what about the other two hoses, the instructions suggest to each rocker cover, but I have seen them fitted into each of the twin carb air filter covers
Any thoughts on which is preferable.
