Got a new battery in my camper when I bought it in June.
We used the van every weekend since then.
Recently the last 2 times we've used it, we've only managed every 2 weeks.
Both of these times, the battery has been dead.
Yesterday had to start it off a charger, once it was up and running we had no issues.
Started ok every time we stopped. That idicates charging system is fine.
Guess there's some sort of power drain somewhere.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Flat battery
Our radio cassette used to run the battery down even when switched off so at first I fitted an isolator switch and then wired it to the leisure battery
Best cure is to use the van of course

Re: Flat battery
I had the same problem with the radio/cd battery draining the starter battery so I rewired it to the leisure battery instead, now all is , easy enough to do . Have a look in the wiki for instructions.

And if you don't actually need the memory function of the stereo (most modern sets have two supply wires memory/power), disconnect it.

Re: Flat battery
to be sure about the radio check the voltage at the battery before and after disconnecting the wiring. Should this not show a voltage change then take alook at other systems on your van ie additional heating controls (propex/ erbaspacher etc all use current for timers/clocks etc) but as posts above my monies on the audio kit.
