Dash Panel Lights

Hi,

Should know better being a techie but haven't yet got a manual for my van!

The dash lights don't work! (Yes the dimmer control is turned fully up!)

Everything else seems to work i.e. side lights, interior lights etc.

Anyone got an idea before I get my multimeter out and check stuff out.

I'm off down to England on Saturday (early start) so need to get them fixed!

have a look at and clean up the multi connector on the back of the dash pod, also just to test try a wire to a known earth. failing that for a quick tempory ( well few years) solution, a nice set of boy racer directional leds that plug in to the fag lighter!!

Have loads of LEDS all sorts of colours and types (samples from electronic parts distributors)! could even throw in a PIC chip and have them doing all sorts of fancy things!

Puled out the dash and checked the connector. Corrosion on the flexi cable.

Cleaned it up and all is well.
