South Wales laning?

Post by ELVIS »

Since NERC/Crow and all the associated poop that went with it i sold my G wagon/110 and havnt ventured off road since.

However, i own a house in the ar$e end of no-where that is 15 mins drive from Sarn Helen (where middle is split at Onllyn and Walters Arena/Seven sisters) , Obvioulsy Lane from Hell if you dont value your van, 30 mins to The Gap/Church Steps/Brecon and an hour from Strat Florida. Also numerous smaller lanes rounf Trecastle/roman road/halfway etc etc etc . If you dont mind going towards Merthyr there is pontsticl holes-helluva drive.

Anyone fancy a knees up if enough is open to make it worthwhile ?

I have a 3 bed cottage so as long as you can find floorspace im not too bothered on numbers, camping in garden for enough tents and parking for millions.

Has anyone got an up to date list of whats TRO'd/perm shut/open etc etc. If anyone can provide list of lanes i can provide somewhere to kip and guided tour/shortest route between lanes.

Hey Elvis - I had a top night doing Sarn Helen and the Gap, at the end of August 2008 with D-Hell, Futbus and some Landrover boys (Pikey Farmer and his fruit cake spring to mind, whilst we were waiting for someone to re-emerge from the Lane from Hell?). I'd be well up for this!

Used to go to "Toms Farm" on the bikes. Is that what you mean by "tommys" ...heard it was closed. is that right?

Will get a*** in gear and sort out what is open once a few issues at home are resolved.

Tommy was banged up in Shrewsbury gaol about 2 yrs ago for animal cruelty (he kept a few sheep to qualify for EU money). Think he has fallen foul since. RSPCA/Police used this as an opening to throw the book at him.
Health and safety / employment law / business tax etc etc - he got mashed up.

TBH the place was a death trap. It was a slum and treated like an open air landfill with no respect and drink driving was horrendous.

I have piccies of his house somewhere, yes he did live in the one at the entrance

Syncropendence 2 was held at Toms farm .... it was interesting; eventful and down right bizarre all in one.

the house; the owner, his wife, the sheep, the state of the place ... completely anarchic; including the nutters who insisted on repeatedly driving their trials bikes at 50mph through the 'camp ground'. Think hacksaw bob did a youtube film of it somewhere.
