Vacuum pipe

Post by trundletruc »

1984 DG engine.
I think I need a new vacuum pipe. The rubber one that goes from the inlet manifold to the plastic pipe that then goes under the van to the brake server. Have tried a number of stockists with no luck. Anyone got any ideas where I can get one/ make one up? Part number I think is 251611929G.

Got a length of servo pipe cut at a motor factors, couple of quid, and some proper hose clamps to fit it.
Ensure it is vacuum servo pipe, other stuff will collapse very quickly...
Also, the original stuff has got very nasty metal wire core, and when (as mine was, and suspect yours will be) it becomes holed, its easy to cut yer pinkies!! Be warned!

Didnt half improve my braking.....!!
