air hose t25 2ltr cu Aircooled

can anyone tell me where the big air hose from the air filter goes as my van doesnt have one fitted it fits to the back right hand side of the box , i think its a fresh air hose also does anyone know a Aircooled garage or person who can give my van a tune up ,timing carbs as its getting un drivable, in or near peterborough cambs/linc border, cheers

That big hose is a fresh air inlet..........it normally goes to the right hand side of the engine bay as your looking in., it normally just sits under the air vent on the upper rear, well thats where mine is anyway..lol

Just put one in myself, runs from the meter unit round the engine and ends up near the vent.

hey nice one thanks for that, whats the fixture under it leading to the top of the gearbox thats also a big dia bit of plastic too, also on my van the vac pip that goes from the t junction from the dizzy to the balancing pipe at the back is made up of vac pipe and wider dia fuel pipe is this correct will it alter the vac pressure, thanks again for your replies

I fitted the described fresh air pipe, and it sent my van all a kilter an it started backfiring and cutting out. Removed pipe and it was fine again? Could be unrelated but it was the only thing i changed, and it had run fine without it for months?
