The Brick-yard link is for how to convert RHD lights for use in Europe.

Yep - but you'll probably get an advisory.

Sigh.... And show how lense is designed... the angles and lines of ribs in glass that create the light pattern left vs right.

Eh??....why the rolleyes???

You quoted the link as being for LHD lights but it's not....it's for RHD lights.

Is it wrong to post what the link actually means so the OP doesn't get confused?

Well, they gave me an advisory on my last MOT for having LHD lights with beam benders on them - so I guess they can...

Advisory is fair as with deflectors on or masks you don't have as bright a light in the right place as you would with the correct ones for driving on the left so your vision will be slightly limited and is especially noticeable on unlit country roads. When I go over to the continent I fit lhd lights so I can see properly when driving on the right as I found that driving with rhd lights and deflectors on I couldn't easily see the road edge in rural france in the pitch black and pissing rain and have since found it well worth the 5 mins it takes to swap them over whilst waiting to board ferry. I know a few others who do the same so if you buy a van in from abroad keep the lhd lights safe and buy rhd ones for use over here, just my ho of course.
