Aligning sliding door

If you look closely at the picture below you can see there is quite a bit of a gap (even gap) where the front of the sliding door meets the B pillar.

How can I align the door to close this gap and make it so the back of the door does not rub slightly on the C pillar seal?

i cannot see how as I have tried loosening the three bolts holding the centre rear slider arm to the door and cannot get the door to sit any futher furward along the bracket.

Would I have more luck taking the door off and re-positioning that bracket?

Thats a nice colour your van is. as for the door, it is easier to do than try to write it, if the gap is parallel then half the battle is done, with the door shut gan you see the front keeper/guide and does the door move in or out if you push hard, is it early or later door?
You can remove the locating plate call it what you like on the b post so there is no restriction to forweard travell then you will know that any restriction is by the rear centre bracket./arm, you can move the hinge to the rear of the van, remove door card and loosen inner bolt (13mm) and the 2 you can see at the rear, this should allow the door to move further forward,

It's an early door. It has always been like this since I hae had it. The door was removed though for fixing rot at the bottom of the slider but instead of removing the door with the centre hinge intact they unbolted the door from the centre hinge for some reason.

I have had another look and I think it as far towards the b pillar as it will go and it 's just one of those things. I will have a proper play tomorrow morning.

They wont have twigged how to lift the hinge off I reckon, the centre hinge travels on the rail and as you know when it hits the rubber stop it then pivots in and engages on the striker plate, you could try removing the rubber stop and seeing if you get further travel, (i;d do this after going for horizontal adjustment on the 3 bolts that affix the centre hinge,
Its a thought that it may have the wrong stop rubber/grommet, whats the size of the gaps at the front and the rear of the door
