Needs to be pointed at Astra 2e and Hotbird .. if your TV has freesat HD capability then you get the free HD channels too.

You can use any Sky box to receive FreeSat without subscription, the only channel not available is 5 but you can have that for a one off payment of a few quid to Sky. Pace Mini Sky box is well worth getting (off Ebay, etc) - very small and runs off 12V when you are not on hook -up. I tried a freesat box and found it inferior in all respects to the Sky freesat service - you can have my freesat box for nothing as I will never use it!
