Hi,
Am looking into buying my first T25 as a camper van, and wanted to know if its possible to put a double front passenger seat instead of the single? All the T25 pictures I have seen show only a single, Its so that My wife and baby son can both sit up front when I am driving.
Any help, pointers would be appreciated, as not brought one yet, if its not possible would like to know.

Re: T25 and double front passenger seats
Not entirely true.
Many (if not all) double seats have no upright frame, many come out of panel vans which had one of several styles of bulkhead which supported the back of the twin passenger seat with a securing bracket built into the bulkhead.

Re: T25 and double front passenger seats
Hi Thanks for the information, I actually spotted one in the local town last night, and cheekily followed the guy home and asked him about it, as he had a double front seat in his. and Yes I can now see that it was a VW T25 Bus..and it still had the bulkhead in place.dai2sheds wrote:Hi there, Bought my t25 (1981) April this year, it's got a double passenger seat in the front. He was open to offers as well..... so what price would be good for a T25 with 200k miles on the chassis, but 100k on an uprated engine (1.9DTI from a Golf) Body work looks patched up, could do with a respray, and chassis i have been told is sound! Its on a 90 plate
Re: T25 and double front passenger seats
can't offer advice on prices, but my bench seat is attached to a half height bulkhead by two fairly flimsy looking brackets. Granted, with the majority of crash risk coming from the front I'm sure the bulkhead will handle the blow (hope so!) if you got a walk through van, I'm sure a support bar to equal strength wouldn't be too hard to fashion?
