As the man say's ^^ 2.1DJ running DG Pierburg carb ... 18.2 mpg running on lpg, many of us doing it, most of us getting exactly the same mpg. Half price gas equals pound for pound 36 mpg equivalent.

Not exactly the same...2.1MV Digifant. Last three summer trips to Europe fully loaded with much of the time spent in the alpine regions of France and Switzerland (so hilly)
2008 over 2,200 miles overal 26.1
2009 around 2,100 miles overall 25.4
2010 same again 24.9

You have higher compression so a little more power but mine has a CAT which kills a few bhp, both injection, Digifant a little more sophisticated than Digijet but overall the two should be pretty similar fuel wise.

Can't really comment on daily driving as I really only use mine for meets/shows and hols...I would think 20 in the summer driven locally, less in winter.

Steady 55-65mph

Mines a pop-top Westy with a 2.1 Dj (as it says below). Owned it since new in 1986. Mostly did low 20s, depending on location and driving style. In Holland (where I lived when I bought it it was around 24. These figures are for annual consumption - I have always been a little obsessive (aka anal ) about mpg.
Since then in South Hampshire as daily transport it averaged around 22. A few years ago it dropped to 18-19 but this was due to failure of the throttle position switch. Nowadays its around 25 because I use it mostly for long trips and keep to mid 60 mph on the motorways.
I did around 2000 miles in Ireland in July and averaged 27.

People will tell you the DJs are heavy on petrol, but IMHO this is either because the fuel injection is faulty (specially the TPS) or they are being thrashed. If you cruise at 75+ then the fuel consumption will be high; but what do you expect with the aerodynamics of a barn door.

There is a lot of variation, must be down to condition and set-up of engine. In my last T3 hightop there was a recent replacement engine fitted by Winkler in Germany. That returned an average of 26.2 mpg measured over the first 5000 miles of my ownership of mixed driving. It ran on high octane and had a freeflow stainless exhaust and an oilcooler up front - presumably those things helped a little bit.

Driving style is definitely is one of the most important factors in my experience. In the nearly 4 years I've had the van it's done anything from 19 MPG when heavy footing it along motorways with a load of stuff on the roof, to 27mpg on the same journey but with no roofrack load and taking my time.
2.1 Syncro tintop with a remtec recon which has been in for 3 1/2 years and now has 46000 km on it.

I always check when I'm doing a long run by brim filling it all the time I'm away, but when just knocking around locally I don't take much notice because I don't want to upset myself by discovering that it's not really an affordable daily driver
What a long strange trip it's been

I allow for 24mpg under normal driving conditions.

I have got as high as 28mpg and as low as 19mpg though.

Wind is the biggest factor. get a big tail wind and 28 is perfectly possible, go into the same wind and you might only get 20.

mine , on lpg averages 20, its my only vehicle, used every day for getting to work, for everything, all the time.
its a DJ but on a dg carb, on a hightop fully laden factory conversion camper and i drive it, not nurse it.

locally i get 17-19 on a good run , like to cornwall in may/june i was getting 26 on the run up and down (6 hours each way) and 18 in the cornish lanes while there.
so between 34 and 52 on petrol pricing.
11-15 pence per mile depending on the price of the lpg and the terrain.

so between 34 and 52 on petrol pricing.

i have no idea how many it does on petrol, as in the last 3 years i havent travelled more than 20 miles with the switch in the wrong position.

My 2.1 injection does about 17-19 mpg on lpg and a bit more on long runs. Hate to think of running on petrol now!
