Special toilet roll...

Post by wee bugger »

Are the "special" toilet rolls for portapottis actually any better than cheap/thin/fall apart supermarket own brand? I know i should not scrimp when it comes to caring for my 'deriere' but at nearly £1 for a roll it scares me and my chilli and curry loving self slightly

just use the cheapo bog rolls from the supermarket, the expensive portabog stuff is no different.
the cheaper the better , it breaks down quickly.
dont use the andrex, or alike stuff unless you fancy a huge solid block of paper in the bottom of your bog.

They are possibly designed to be used in toilets fitted to septic tanks rather than to mains sewers. Normal british bog paper is full of dodgy chemicals evidently and they stop septic tanks working. Top quality French bog paper on the other hand is designed for septic tanks and is nowhere near £1 a roll.

Had to take a bunch of students on a trip to the local sewage works. The sewage works reclaim the paper used to wipe yer ass then its recycled for...... yep you guessed! Like Mocki says, the cheap stuff is the best to use.
