Terry give me a call, if you know what you want we can find you it, but at the moment there doesn't appear to be any fixed aim.

Aidan

Yes your right, i am lost for where or what to do next
the brand new Trooper i ordered last november is still being built
and they still cant give me a date
so i told them to stick it where the sun dont shine
I've got the deposit back and the money is burning a hole in me pocket
do i get a buggie a syncro a doka....... till i get a new van from God knows where!!!!!
I will have to wait till after christmass for any new van
so i thought i would buy a fun vehicle to tide me over and then sell it on when I do get me new one.
I'm/we are running out of summer very quickly..and I'v only got me scooter.not much fun camping with that hahah

Why don't you buy a camper off a forecourt?

(I appreciate that I may be missing the point here)

Surely you'll get more that way anyway?

Why not get one of these?

Nah, that's DSG - tiptronic just puts stupid flappy paddles on the steering column and allows you to move the gearshift across into a mode where you decide when to change gear, rather than the (no offence, Terry) rather intelligent computer deciding when to change.

IMO the tiptronic functionality on any gearbox without either sequential shifting and/or an electro-hydraulic clutch pack instead of a torque-converter is a bloody waste of time.

It's scarily modern, and brings many more worries to mind about non-T25's being new-fangled and alien........ :?

Terry how does lhd suit ? You could get a nice westysyncro from germany, enjoy it and sell it on when you get your new thing and not loose much if anything, I'll happily go fetch for you. Mike Plompen could probably source it too, though you'd have to tell him you want it tidy :D
