VW gamma radio cassette

Hi there

I have a VW gamma radio cassette player installed. When I turn off, the Illumination dials stay lit (orange), it this right???...should all Illumination not go off as well?..has me baffled!

might be a separate wire on the back to wire to the dash lights and its in with the 12v constant feed...praps
....or the wires for the memory and constant feed are the wrong way round...dus it remember the radio stations when it turned back on ???

Wired it up to the dash lights, seems to have done the trick.
