waterpipe on a 1987 type 5

Post by lennythellama »

I have just found a water leak on my 1987 type 25 and it is on the pipe that runs round the edge of the engine bay at the top. Has about 5 different pipes coming from it and is about 10 mm diameater and tapers a bit at one end. it looks like its copper and is rusty in two or three places apart from the small hole which is leaking. does anybody know of a supplier that could provide a new one as it is obsolete from VW and volkspares. Lenny.

Is it pipe number 1 on this image? 025-121-045e (plastic)

LINK

If it is and you want new then vw classic parts in germany sell the plastic version for 84.92 euros (postage will be about 8 euros)

See the wiki on ordering from vw classic parts https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Pa ... Germany.29

Or try contacting Peter at http://www.wagonbuild.com as I have bought quite a few 2nd hand pipes from him recently
