a caravelle wheel is 17" diameter,
saloon car wheels are (usually) 15" , or small car wheels are 13"

Non-PAS wheels (either the skinny plastik one or the padded one) are 44 or 45 cm diameter (can't remember which)

PAS wheels are 42 cm. I drive one in my non-PAS Syncro without problems.
Steering is slightly heavier, but the padded wheel offers much better grip than the skinny original, so it evens out.

I got rid the the skinny one as somebody had previously used insulation tape for decoration, so when the sun came out the wheel became sticky.I replaced it with a nice padded t4 wheel, Works well and I have no PAS

Early T4 (pre-airbag) wheel bolts straight on, no cancellation problems, so anything for one of those will fit too (as per original fitment on my 1995 SA)
