i want sharper breaking.......

Post by days2902 »

good news, i just replaced the break servo on my 1981 t25, thanks for all your help people.
now....the servo does work and i can feel a real difference, but i still think the breaks could be sharper , they feel a bit spongy up to the point where i can feel the breaks working . any sugestions ?? :?:

If they are spongy then either air still in the system or the flexi's are shot...

A fully sorted std setup will easily sqeal the tyres from 80 mph (my caravelle coming of the mountain in the IOM regular  )

rear brakes need to be adjusted up correctly too..

Any old, worn and cheap parts will always reduce braking.. but do think on, the brakes will never feel like the over assisted modern cars you may be used to... you are also stopping 2+ tons as well...

pay particular attention to this, here's a test pull the parking brake on till it just catches then back off a click ..try your brakes now!
