Help!! Some lower member of the species has attacked the locks on my van and ruined both front doors and the sliding door locks! I guess it was a screwdriver judging by the damage. Not much taken that can't be replaced but the locks are a major problem. I've looked on auction sites but to no show. Does anyone know where the best (current) place to get the handles from? Done a few searches but the all seem very expensive..
Any ideas?
The van is 1989, 1.6 td

Re: screwdriver+door lock=nightmare!
I think that you can buy just the barrells from VW still @ about £27.00 and build the locks to match. You may be able to use your existing tumblers if they are not damaged if not you will need to buy a repair kit - part no: 443 898 041a - which will contain new tumblers and springs and you can match the locks to your existing keys. Details on how to build your locks to match are available off the net but I cannot remember the address.
