I'm off to the Sussex Coast (Cuckmere Haven/Beachy Head/etc) on my own to take some landscape shots and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good spots to park up for the night? I will need to be as close to the beach for those very early start and late evening shots.
Thanks,
Si

Big car park at Birling Gap (also a Hotel there, but I think its still ok for your van....).
If you go up on top of Beachy Head and park up, you will almost certainly get checked by the Beachy Head Chaplain. He is based up there and tries to prevent people from jumping. (Incidentally, since there has been a Chaplian up there, suicides have fallen dramatically - NO pun intended!)
Beautiful part of the country, just take care up there!

Thanks for the advice! Birling Gap is perfect. Would that Chaplain move me on or get pissed off I'm there?

He's a very nice chap, so the cuppa offered would no doubt work!

Re: Wild Camping Spots on Sussex Coast
Brighton and Hove has highest suicide rate in UK and highest number of folk detained on a 136 .I regularly assess people who have been brought in from Beachy Head but that does not account for number of completions There is a reduction due to barriers nets etc but was interested in the chaplain being there accounting for less deaths
