does anyone know offhand what the compression should read for a water cooled 1.9 dg engine?

iirc 12-14 bar good, 8 bar minimum, 1 1/2 bar variation

will know on weds morning -
that work life has got in the way of van repairs!
dont these people realise i've got a list of van repairs and tests to do!?!
will post up - on the weds pm -
oddly - on our wiki - theres a suggestion to carry out a 'wet compression test' by putting a cap full of engine via the plug hole oil in first -
but dr haynes - says - 'this is likely to be inconclusive on this engine since there is no gaurantee that the oil will be evenly distributed around the piston rings' - had a read through the good doctors notes - and -
they've got a 10 to 13 bar - good
8 bar - minimum
maximum difference between cylinders - 3 bar -
will post up more on weds
