I fitted saab seats like a few others on here. The female part the seat belt connector is still on the seat and the T25 one is on the base thingy.
Is there any reason (MOT, Safety) why I can't mod the T25 connector to go on the seat? It would tidy it up and easier when turning the chairs round at meal times.

Re: Saab Seats
As you have modified the seat base to fit the original runners, there is the theoretical risk that the seat isn't as secure as it ought to be and that it might become detached in the case of an accident ...belting yourself and the seat into the original VW seatbelt buckle seems to be the safer option. Furthermore, the original VW setup was never designed with the buckle fixed to the seat ...it may not be strong enough in itself.
Also, the MOT man might take a dim view of a modified seatbelt setup. Also, I'm not sure as to how securely that could be changed over
In my case, I removed the Saab buckle from the seat.

I took mine off too.
Re: Saab Seats
I considered the same thing whe I fitted mine. Came to the conclusion that I wouldn't trust the seatbelts on the modified seats. Much safer to be anchored to the bodywork.
