speedo needle's just dropped!

Post by jamesandtheopenroad »

Hi, I'm heading back up the m6 and the speed needle has just dropped to 0! Flicks up intermittently to the speed I'm travelling at but as the m6 has loads of speed restrictions, I'd like to know how fast I'm going.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this has just happened and if I can fix it? I'm Sat at Hilton services.

Few ideas
Snapped speedo cable
Cable has rounded off at the grease cap N/S/F wheel
Cable end has come out of the square peg drive N/S/F grease cap (G clip has broken off)
Speedo itself has broken internally (drive gears split etc)
