Cheers Aidan,
My Turbo is leaking oil, I am probably going to get it refurbished but my local garage said if I gave him a part number he'll see how cheap he can get a replacement (alternative or Recon). My Truck is my daily drive so needs to be off the road for as little time as possible.
Thanks again sir!

Probably hard to get refurbed. Even VW main dealers wouldn't do them. Quickest option is buy one and hand back your old one. Quick but not cheap though.

Just done it myself and needed new pipes as they were corroded :(

Bought mine from Simon at Brickwerks.

You can buy a little cheaper but you know where you are with Simon.

But check they are in stock.

Oh and buy a new gasket. You only need one, the other side is metal to metal.

How is your boost controller?

Cheers RedDwarf,

I'll bear that in mind. By boost controller you mean the LDA (?) then that seems ok - I did overfill my oil last month on accident and it blew the pipe off but it seems to be boosting fine and is happy around 60 to 65 with no smoke.

Hi Hoss, not sure what the LDA is. I mean the unit that sits by the top of the engine with the diaphragm, which you can't replace, which boosts the fuel to the engine under pressure from the turbo.

May well be called an LDA :)

thats the thingy! You got me doubting it now so I've asked Harryman for confirmation haha

yeah, mine does seem fine, some one else pointed me towards http://www.Dieselkontor.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They had them on there for about 96 euros last month but apparently they are becoming quite sparse.

Getting the Turbo done is the final thing before starting on the body work (he said fingers crossed)!
