Hello
My van decided not to start yesterday, checked basic things and heres where i am...... Its turning but im not getting any spark from the the main Ht lead, so i checked the coil and its getting power, and tried another to see if it was faulty but still no joy. Ive tried other leads and there not sparking either. Ive checked earths, reset ECU, theres fuel in it, but its weird how the coils fine but im not getting that spark. What else can it be?! On the coil theres power to positive side but could it be the to leads from the negative? the connections are fine but where do they go? Is there a fuse or relay that could be bust in that line or something?
Ive been convinced to go to a wedding in north wales tommorow on the basis i can offroading all sunday, but its looking unlikely atm!!
Any suggestions?!
Ive had enough of my Dad telling me to buy a Nissan now too ha ha
Ben

All of the 'spark making' switching is done on the ground side of the coil.

hall sensor is in the dizzy and generally if it is the hall sensor you will get a very weak spark when you turn the ignition on and off but not when you crank.

Cheers all, turned out to be a problem with the hall connector hidden well under the waterproofing sleeve bit. Someone had fiddled with it and fixed it in now time!
New it would be something stupid!
