Crewcab, Doka NATO Canopy

Post by Ralph »

Hi,

Does any one know where I can get a copy of any dimensions, plans and/or detail photos and specifications to be able to remanufacture the NATO Canopy or know of any body who has?

I have draughted up a cross section and dimensions from the sales brochure on: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v117/ ... %20canopy/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and also viewed the topic: http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/nato- ... KW=Zebedee" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I need more info.

Regards,
Ralph

They're fairly rare and I don't know of anyone who has one in the UK, (I expect there are some somewhere though).

This chap,

Has one himself and I'm sure will help you out. He speaks good English too!

one in our yard! :ok are you the guy who emailed me a while back? we got an aluminium specialist fabricator in to give us a quote on replicating the nato canopy exactly to spec. he came and said that it would be fairly straight forward(for him) and it would be better than original due to better technique and quality of parts(locks,struts etc). he has the dimensions on file and can make anytime we want one?(paid in advance) £2500-£2600. dont know what they were originally(anyone know?) last one i heard was sold 2000 euros and 1800 euros the one before. these were obviously in europe,so by the time you went to collect etc,then i suppose for a new one(but better) and ready to paint what colour you need,it isnt that bad a price. if i had my tristar finished,then i would probably have one made to let folk see,but 2.5k will be needed elsewhere! if someone else wants to order one to let us all see it? i can have it painted to your vehicles colour for free as an advertisement for them? what do you's think? cheers mcgill
