Ian Hulley wrote: You do what you want but many people (us included) cannot afford to have 2 pub weekends in a row.

but some may be able to....and some may not be going to the Duke.....and some may prefer to go to Shirebrook - I don't normally stick my nose into these sort of 'discussions' but there seems to be a lot of 'you can't do this that & 'tother' to do with meets just lately.

you can never please everyone and it would be impossible for someone to organise a meet that didn't clash with a show / meet / camping trip / birthday / anniversary / funeral / birth (eta: & if we start including the weekends before & after then nothing will ever get organised)

selfishly, Andy bobdog chose to organise a pikey meet ON THE SAME WEEKEND AS BUGJAM but nobody threw their toys out of the pram, we made a choice on where to go........

whatever happened to playing nicely and getting on with enjoying camping wherever you choose to go?

Good luck with this one Rozzo (seems like you need it!) I may just pop along to the next Shirebrook meet

That's bcos most peeps think bugjam is a chavfest but we proved them wrong with a top weekend by all who went . We would love to do more meets but cost work now football season just can't And at the mo there does seem to be abit of in-house bickering on all fronts

Let's just all go camping and let the good times roll

I honestly had no idea we clashed with Bugjam! Never been to it, but sounds like one for the diary for next year . Surely the more meets that are available for folk to choose from has to be a good thing.

I know that you didn't know Andy!!!! my point was that something always clashes with something else; I was joking when I said that you organised it selfishly

Karen,I know that you knew that I knew ...
Sounds like a song....

End result was anyone that wanted to go to bugjam did so and had fun...
Bonus was the 21 vans that turned up for the pikey weekend also had a weekends camping and a good time.

Looks like a possibility for when I've had me eyes done and bought a new van.......

Truly though, it looks an excellent site and what a joy to find that everyone got on so well!
