Post by Kwinpenny »

Hi guys,

bought a FASP seat swivel for my T25, and have removed the passenger seat. Am now puzzled and wondered if anyone has any fitting insturctions? Would like to retain the sliding adjustment if possible....

Thanks in advance

i fitted one for my brother recently and i was pretty puzzled for a while ( like 6 months) cos it certainly like a proper westfalia one.
i am not fresh on the details, but it involved unbolting the runners from the bottom of the seat, welding the runners to the bottom of the swivel then welding the swivel on to the bottom of the seat where the runners used to be.it also involves working out how to fix the runner locking mechanism to the bottom of the swivel.
it is quite a permanent solotion with no easy return but wasnt that tricky it took about an hour including painting.
i realise that what i have written might be more confusing than not.
i can ask my bro to take the seat out and take some detail photos.
he is away till tuesday though.

Cheers for the info hotpot - yes I was going round in circles for a while!!

I've bitten the bullet and decided to go without the luxury of sliders. I'll drill through the spot welds, remove them and then bolt the swivel base to the bus, and drill it to allow me to bolt it to the seat also. Not ideal, but having spent 2 hours getting soaked in the rain, figure thats the easiest way forward!!

Thanks again
