on mine it's 13mm for the calliper and 22 mm to remove the fixed part of the caliper. thats on a 1987 t25 with out square brake pads

is 13mm the brake pipe union from the pipe into the caliper? i thought it was 11mm.

the caliper splits into two parts that are held together with two bolts that are 13 mm but the two bolts that actually fix the caliper to the van are 22 mm.

is it generally safe to split the caliper, it's just that in haynes it seems to warn against it, and most people seem to blow the pistons out with air.
