Hi everyone
We have promised the kids we would have (our first!) night away in the van this saturday, but hadn't thought about it being school hols and everywhere being booked up!
We only want something basic ie.toilet block as we really just want to test out the awning and have a play with everything for a night. Can anyone suggest somewhere close to us? We can't got too far as won't be leaving until just after dinner and will need about 5 hours of daylight to erect the awning
Ideas welcome, thanks x

The Peak District, there's already one member going to be at The Duke of York on the 515 near Buxton.

Failing that try Heathy Roods Farm near Butterton in the peaks. Only 20 minutes stroll from the Manifold Valley and Wetton Mill and Thors Cave. Very nice and only £3 pp too. Pub nearby in Butterton

We ended up going to Cumbria.
Took 1 hr and 30 mins to get there and 9 hours and 2 rescue trucks to get home.....
No, I am not joking!

We had a leak in the water hose thingy and so the engine kept overheating. Was a bit of a nightmare, but we haven't been put off
Just learnt our lesson to BE PREPARED next time, lol
