Clutch Cable Pipe

Post by Cynfelin »

My girlfriend has a T3 which is off the road and her mechanic has advised that she needs the pipe and connectors which protects the clutch cable on its journey from pedal to engine. Can anybody tell me what this cable is called as I need to source one.

Thanks in advance

CU, CT, Aircooled??

Front part 251 721 389 Guide tube (NLA)
Cable guide 251 721 361B (£~20)

Thanks for that I will gt onto them - I presume the 3rd numbered parts for Aircooled? Sorry if I sound a bit dim but I really have no clue.

Thanks again

Difficult to say from the diagram in ETKA, whether the first two parts are both required or ?

-389 is NLA (No-Longer-Available)

The 3rd part no. is general bushing (support) grommets (2 or 3 required)

Try Part... 361B with VW and see what they say, viz availability & price...

Unfort. most of our seasoned (read knowledgeable) Aircooled owners are now moved on, or not online a lot... we do need a few more owners of the early models willing to take a look and help out with Q&A's now and again.

Your best bet would be to photograph what you think you need to replace.. and post it up - might be more of a chance of someone saying Ahh! I know where one of those is... unless it's totally missing (you don't say?)
