http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 4&t=h&z=17" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or street view

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 53,,0,7.01" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Walking carpark near Square and compass pub. Right in the white peak. :)

Very tried and tested :)

Or

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 6&t=h&z=19" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Very near peak village shopping and pub.

Cromford:-

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 2&t=h&z=18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Little near the sewage works but never smelt from carpark (only used in winter months)

In the moors:-

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 6&t=h&z=19" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not tried but on my list :)

Yeah, you can have a chat with him if ya like ... If you're happy to stay on the carpark I'm sure he'll not mind anyway. When are you going ? I drive past twice every weekday cos I only work round the corner, I'll pop in and say hello if you like :wink:

Hi Ian
We will be heading up to the Duke of York on Friday evening, I have to drive up from Northants, drop the kids off in Waterfall (nr Leek) and then drive up to Flagg. If your are passing around 8pm drop in and have a drink with us. I,m not sure where we will head to on Saturday, probably around Buxton or Matlock, any suggestions??????? Ideally a nice walk and some shopping for Ruth.

happy camping

Northants

Haddon Hall, near Bakewell (Medieval hall & gardens)
Bakewell, (Tourist trap shopping but fairly decent chippie behind the Copshop)
Buxton, apparently good for a wander round
Wirksworth (where we live) Medieval market town with bistros, ancient buildings, micro-brewery, antique shops etc etc :roll:
Chatsworth House, near Baslow (Country estate, house & gardens)
Peak Village, Rowsley (small shopping outlet)
Masson Mill, Cromford (Larger shopping outlet)

No chance of dropping in at that time unfortunately.
