Pubs with camping off A30ish - Betty Cottles?

Post by TravellingChick »

Heading to Cornwall a week Saturday and planning to stop overnight @ Betty Cottles Inn - has anyone done this or know of any other good pub camping in the same area?

I'm travelling just me n Little T and don't feel uber happy about overnighting in a services or similar. We'd be there mid-arvo so somewhere to run about and a place to get a bite to eat without bothering with cooking seems like a good plan.

Cheers
Sarah

Hi TC,
We have a 'campsite' with no facilities except water ie a field, a bit further down in Wadebridge which you are more than welcome to use free of cost, with a pub 100yds away. If interested please PM. As long as you can stand 11year olds and inquisitive spaniels!!

Thanks so much for the offer, no problem with 11yr olds or dogs but I think Wadebridge is a bit far to manage and if I made it we'd probably just push on to Maenporth final destination.

My cunning plan is to avoid the bottleneck on the A30 by stopping further up and getting an early start on the Sunday morning. Last year I stopped in Chard and had a clear run down but this year I'm having to use the M5 as we're leaving from Oxford instead of London.

Cheers tho, would've been nice to meet you guys!

Cheers Murf, there's gonna be a late bay with a family of 4 travelling in convoy with me now so I think Betty Cottles is probably the best option.

Really appreciate the offer tho.

Sarah :)
