right, so got the camper started again after 6 months sitting looking sorry for itself.
all seems fine apart from the brakes which are making a rubbing/scraping sound when braking gently or turning sharply even though they are actually working ok at least at low speeds.
i assume it might just be surface rust or something since its been unused for 6 months but anyone got any suggestions on what to do to the brakes to sort them or anything else to check?
thanks

You can either take vehicle to an area where it is safe and do some fairly heavy draking to clear rust off brake surfaces or take off rear drums and clean rust off with sand paper or emery paper, replace and readjust shoes. Clean front brake discs with same but unless you have lost the brake shield, it will be difficult to clean the inside surface of the discs (The sufacwe facing into the middle of the vehicle). Pads should self adjust as you press the brake pedal.
