Port Merion is nice in a "I wonder where all this lot came from" kind of way  The miniature railway at the foot of Snowdon is good for small kids ..... if you plan to go up Snowdon remember to book in advance (and therefore gamble that it's clear that day). There's what we called a 'Fluffy' farm at Llanfair where smaller kids can meet farm animals, rabbits etc etc (and pay to feed them  )

There is a copper mine just outside of Bedgellert that is nice for a rainy day. Also lovely walk along the riverside and back in Bedgellert. Pete's Eats in Llanberis is an excellent cafe.
