Westie microswitch tap top tip!

Post by roj62 »

Our problematic tap broke while on holiday last week - the very expensive microswitch i'd ordered from Gunzl only a few months earlier had totally disintegrated! We were pretty dismayed as we were in the middle of the highlands and didn't fancy a week of carting water bottles around. I managed to find a Maplins in Inverness and as it happens the bog standard lever style microswitch does exactly the same job and only costs about £1.95. All you need to do is snip off the extra bit of lever to make it fit and make sure you connect to the normally closed (NC) connector.

Saved a packet and a ruined holiday - now keeping a few spares in the van.

Thought i'd share that with you all... :-)
