Hi,
The front seal on my 1989 AutoSleeper Hi-top is in need of some attention. It would appear that the seal is attached directly to the hi-top itself - does this make any sense? Basically, I need to remove the seal, clean all the old sealant away, Vatcan any rust (there doesn't appear to be much) and then give the internals a good dose of waxoyl prior to reapplying the seal (with Tigerseal or similar). Has anyone attempted a similar job and can give me some pointers?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: AutoSleeper Hi-top Front Seal
Hi
I'm going to be trying somethin similar soon on my high top.
Gonna scrape away all the old cracked sealer, vactan like yourself, give it a coat of hammerite, then reseal with sikaflex 412 (bought off eBay). Hopefully that should do it.
Buy it's gonna be a learning curve - never done owt like this before.
Good luck!

Re: AutoSleeper Hi-top Front Seal
When I removed my front seal on my 1985 Auto Sleeper Hi-top I found it to be pop riveted on so had to drill them out, and removed the rubber altogether cleaned up any rust bit and resealed into position
