er no it won't fit straight in you'd need to talk to famous phil the pug diesel man for an explanation of the wrinkles, see his posts lower down and pm him

hey there nicko, my velle was a 1.9 petrol velle, before we fitted first a 205 diesel and now a 1.9 intercooled 406 motor, it's not straight forward, but at the time I thought it worthwhile.we made a bellhousing adapter modded the flywheel to keep the dub clutch and did some wiring, modded the engine mounts and plumbing, the pug motor seems to have more of an appetite for revs than the vw, aaz, though it could still do with a special ratio for top gear cruising, I have seen around 100 on the speedo, but it sounded very cruel...(on a private road mind  ) next on the list is the 2.1 multi valve pug...I love the pug motor, but speak to either phamous phil or billy as they have a good deal of experience...wig
