NEWBIE - how to stop the kids falling out of the pop top bed
Hi There
We've got a Westfalia T25 Calfornia and were wondering if anyone can suggest where we can get some sort of safety net to stop the kids falling out of the pop top bed!?
Any info would be great, thanks

Hiya, welcome to the club
I believe a net is available and has been used by poptoppers before you
No doubt they'll be along to help you

welcome
Being a Westy im sure there is a genuine one you can buy ( for mucho mucho money
) I have a friend with a Hitop westy and there are holes ready to accept a safety bar, unfortunately in theirs it is missing.
Or a cheaper alternative something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tomy-Universal-Be ... 500wt_1182" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: NEWBIE - how to stop the kids falling out of the pop top bed
what you want is bungee cord...measured so that when the fall they don't hit the floor...but that pops them back up into bed again.....

We made our own one which clips up cos we couldnn't find anything quite right. The instructions are on here in the Camping section bit on another thread if you're interested!

I've just made one from a broken travel cot I found in a skip! I found that it was exactly the right size (about 120cm) to fit the Westy stubs and amazingly the tube's internal diameter was just right! Worked a treat.

We tried the mesh bed gaurd but felt it looked to much of a prison so got a wooden barred one off EBay - yes it has bars but you can reach through. The Guard slips under the mattress so holds tight.
