Hi just taken ownership of our first t25 its fantastic, the only problem however is the heater blower.
It doesnt do anthing when you try to switch it on on any of the speed settings. all other electric items work okay, anyone have any ideas where to look at first???

Hi to you both in you know where :idea glad youve got the van at last,could you give the seller a shout and ask? failing that check the fuse then the power at the switch, then the switch then power (assuming there is some) down to the motor, still yes? then it would appear the heater blower is no longer of this earth :rofl common fault but often they run on one or other speed, check the wiki above

That reminds me, today I finally solved that problem on pre 85 vehicles where a dodgy blower can take out wipers if fuse blows. Will post it in the WIKI tomorrow. I can't be the only pre 85 owner thats been annoyed by the two being on one fuse. Was only a small mod but if the blower ever causes the fuse to go now, I'm now not left without wipers. :D

On the above, and don't know year of yours but likely causes are faulty switch, fuse or seized blower. Theres a WIKI section on the site which covers this to take a look in there. Good luck.

i have just been out for a wee play until the darkness beat me. It would seem that when i turn the heater switch i CAN hear a click from the motor, is this a good sign that the motor is seized? i will attempt to properly access the unit tomorrow after work (daylight permitting!)

Yep, more than likely. You can get to the motor to free it off by drilling in the right spot behind the radiator grill and giving it a dose of WD40. Think its in a previous thread or the WIKI. Long-winded way is removing whole dash - about half a days work if you plod at it. If the motor is completely kaputt you'll need to replace it anyway (about £35 new - eBay and other places). Mine was seized and it still runs fine since I sprayed it with lubricant and that was two years ago.

how big a hole nd how do i know where the right spot is?

At least with a "click" it sounds like power and switches are working, maybe a brat has dropped stuff down the vent and jamming it, as in my case.
