The Right Heater for my Westie??

Post by Marlowe »

Hi,
I just found this in Ebay germany,
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... K:MEWAX:IT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
VW BUS T2 T3 SYNCRO WESTFALIA BLUESTAR STANDHEIZUNG.
It´s a Trumatic 1800.
Can anyone comment on this model.
I have a Leisure Battery and an external gas tank, do I need anything more?

If an original, Your westy should have an Eberspacher D2L fitted that vents from the bottom of the rock n roll bed and is located under the van.

Thanks for the info.
My heater was removed before I bought it, not really sure why. And I was wondering which heater would be the right one for my bus.
I read somewhere else that the one I found on ebay (Trumatic 1800) was OK but it´s now extremely hard to find spares.

I think I´ll try and get a Ebers Heater.

You can pick up a used D2L in Germany for not a lot of money, and even thought yours has been removed it would be easy to refit. Thats what I would do.
