Leisure battery info sought

Post by Martin & Lynn »

Hi im trying to figure out whats what in our new bus, its a 1990 1.9 petrol, i gather from the wiki that the leisure battery is the one under the passenger seat?, it appears to have very little charge in it at all, is there anyway i can check that this is receiving a charge before i replace it. when i flick the switch on my power management system to car battery the charge indicator shows up as normal but when i flick it to leisure battery it shows up as good as flat, i will take it out tomorrow and top up electrolyte etc and see if it will spring into life.

thanks in advance

put a voltage tester (engine running) on the terminals this should give you an idea if there is a charge getting to it.
