Sliding door adjusting

Post by ray3324 »

Hi All,

It looks like my sliding door has dropped slightly, there's a small gap appeared and the door does not line up properly. It looks like the door has dropped by around 4 - 5 mm.

Does anyone know how to tweak or raise these? i am gonna be working on it soon and want to make sure that i dont mess things up.
It looks like it has to be done with the door shut and from the inside but i am nervous of busting the hinge ( i dont know the technical term)

Thanks

Ray

there will be something in the wiki above, but when you say its dropped do you mean when you close it ,it sort of rides up to latch and when shut and you open it does it immediately drop, I ask because if the slider middle roller has gone it will cause door to be dropped , wear on the guide also does it but this is gradual over a period of time so not likely in your case, striker pin on pillar could have come loose etc etc, check this and see if it looks like it has moved
