Importance of breather system

Just wondered if someone coul shed some light on this situation on I've got brand new second hand fuel tank and it has both breather pipes coming from the tank blocked off would I be able to directly fit this tank and leave them blanked off or would it cause me issues ??

hello there i would fit the tanks if i were you ,if you dont you could cause damage ,as the petrol/diesel leaves your tank it needs to be replaced with air otherwise it could cause a vacuum and collapse,hope this helps

the bungs will come out and so will the fuel
fit it properly with new flex pipes and forget for a good few years
ideally spray the thing with shultz before fitting especially on top and around the seams :ok
