1.6TD exhaust manifold and turbo

Post by noss vanagon »

Have just stripped out the exhaust manifold and its away for skimming at the moment. As usual some of the manifold studs came out instead of the nuts coming off should I loctite them back into head before rebuilding? Having searched the site torque settings I have found are 18lb-ft for the manifold nuts and 33-36lb-ft for the manifold to turbo bolts are those correct? Are the nuts that bolt the exhaust to the turbo anything fancy (they were virtually non existent hence my question) and is there a specified torque?

regards steve
