Hi,
The thermostat dial has broken on my eber control unit and I'm finding it impossible to get a replacement as nobody seems to stock them due to them being obsolete.
Does anyone know if a later control works with the eber B2L/D2L, such as the 301 series controller??
Or indeed does anyone have suggestions on fixing the dial or know of a replacement?
Thanks
Jim

They differ - I've got a thermostat from an older joker so just thought I'd ask as I maybe able to help.

The later controller does work but you will need to sourse and swap over the PCB,loom and obviously the controller.Jim Green wrote:Hi,

The later controller is much easier on the battery too as it injects interimitant pumps of fuel when the thermo switches off so not having to draw for the glow plug every time it kicks back in.
I have done this conversion myself and am more than happy with it.
I do have an early thermo but they are hard to come by nowadays so i'm not willing to sell it for peanuts,
I would want at least £60 for it, maybe Gandalf can help you out a bit cheaper?
They do come up on German Ebay now and then but by the time you add the cost of the postage it will be around £60 anyway.
I would advise not to buy anything wilthout a dial though, as they will switch them on or off but bypass the thermo/heat control.
I'm sure Oldiebut goodie can advise further on this, he's the heater Guru.

Bacon roll with extra brown sauce, not mc'oodles shiite either.
