Twin Webers on CU engine in T25
I am installing a pair of twin 40IDF Weber carbs on a 2.0 litre CU into my T25. I have the manifolds and linkage, any tips/hints about fuel lines, vacuum lines, fuel pumps, air filters, carb settings etc would be very much appreciated. The engine is stock reconditioned (from TES) apart from a fast road cam. cheers, Paul

I have these on my CT engine and wouldn't go back to anything else!
Might just be able to help you out here...
Fuel lines - Run from pump into left carb (bottom pipe) and out through top pipe onto the right carbs bottom pipe. You can either blank off the top pipe on the right carb or use a fuel return line to the tank (if available).
Vacuum lines - One vacuum line from the left carb to the distributor. No others used or available.
Fuel pumps - Use original vehicle fuel pump. Deliveres correct amount of fuel and pressure.
Air filters - Pancake filters directly connected to top of carbs. Get the low filters to allow engine cover to fit!
Carb settings - Idle screws (all four) 1.5 - 2 turns open from fully closed position.
Should get you up and running hopefully.

thanks for the reply, another question...there are two take-offs on each manifold leg, does yours have these? shall I blank them off or should they be connected to something?

There's a good chance these are for the brake servo vacuum. Normally they are linked together and a 'T' piece links them to the brake servo vacuum pipe coming from the left rear of the engine bay.
Mine didn't have this and so I had to adapt them to take a threaded connector in the body of the manifold which then connected to the vacuum pipe.

You might want to consider a Bugpack oil breather kit too as you will be losing all the carp under there. You could put a K&N crank breather on the outlet but it gets a bit messy with oil misting. The Bugpack kit is cheap and easy to install

hi gunslinger, where to the hoses heading left and right from the bugpack box go to? have you fed them into the air filters or direct into the manifolds?
