High Top Swap

Post by iowcamper »

Well after much searching and chasing wild geese i have finally managed to swap the old high top on my van for an old pop top !! had quotes between £1000 and £2000 for supply and fit of a second hand roof but in the end had a go myself - pretty pleased with the outcome

second hand roof = £200
delivery to the isle of wight = £70
odds and sods (rivets, sealant etc) = £35

before:

with the pop top on:

pretty pleased with the end result - a couple of bits of trim inside to sort but was very easy really a lot more so than i thought - money we saved has paid for a trip to france for summer hols !!!

and the old roof :

will take the old fiamma roof vent out as in good condition so may recoup £20 further of my costs yet!
